What’s the best response when a cop asks you something?<\/p>\n

Silence, or a short, polite non-answer.<\/p>\n

Shut up. Just. Shut. Up. The police are not your friends. They are not there to protect you. They are there to arrest you, convict you, and take your money or your freedom or both.<\/p>\n

You should be polite and calm whenever dealing with any armed person.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s even more important when that person knows they can shoot you without any serious consequences. But don’t say any more than you have to.<\/p>\n
