Last year John Edwards charged $55,000 to give a speech at University of California at Davis.The subject? Poverty<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Back in 1971 there was another Jonathan Edwards who had a #4 hit with the song Sunshine<\/a>. The lyrics included:<\/p>\n

Sunshine go away today,
\nI don’t feel much like dancin’
\nSome man’s gone, he’s tried to run my life
\nDon’t know what he’s askin’<\/p>\n

He tells me I’d better get in line
\nCan’t hear what he’s sayin’
\nWhen I grow up, I’m gonna make it mine
\nThese ain’t dues I been payin’<\/p>\n

How much does it cost? I’ll buy it.

At least I think<\/em> it was a different John Edwards.<\/p>\n
