{"id":617,"date":"2009-03-06T01:14:26","date_gmt":"2009-03-06T06:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.davehitt.com\/blog2\/the-solution-for-the-jewish-salt-conspiracy\/"},"modified":"2009-03-06T01:17:57","modified_gmt":"2009-03-06T06:17:57","slug":"the-solution-for-the-jewish-salt-conspiracy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.davehitt.com\/blog2\/the-solution-for-the-jewish-salt-conspiracy\/","title":{"rendered":"The Solution to the Jewish Salt Conspiracy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m finding so many stupid things believers do I was thinking of starting a separate blog \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Things Atheists Didn&#8217;t Do \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to list them.\u00c2\u00a0 But the last thing I need is another blog, so I&#8217;ve just made it a category on this one.<\/p>\n<p>The only difference between Kosher salt and regular salt is the grind.\u00c2\u00a0 Kosher salt is coarser, which makes it better for dry rubs and other uses.\u00c2\u00a0 I use it to make fresh garlic paste.\u00c2\u00a0 Chop the garlic up as finely as possible, sprinkle kosher salt over it, and then mash it with the side of your knife to turn it into a paste.\u00c2\u00a0 Regular salt doesn&#8217;t work nearly as well.<\/p>\n<p>Religiously, all pure salt is kosher.\u00c2\u00a0 Kosher salt gets its name from the practice of using it to process meat \u00e2\u20ac\u201c its greater surface area lets it do a better job of drawing blood from meat.<\/p>\n<p>But retired barber Joe Godlewski was upset about how many TV chiefs recommend kosher salt, so he&#8217;s countering it with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashfood.com\/2009\/03\/04\/christian-izing-salt-is-just-not-kosher\/\">Blessed Christian Salt<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s blessed by a priest, you see, so that makes it Christian.\u00c2\u00a0 (Kosher food isn&#8217;t blessed by anyone.\u00c2\u00a0 Kosher means it was examined by a Rabbi to make sure it was processed according to Jewish dietary laws.)\u00c2\u00a0 Joe says &#8220;This is about keeping Christianity in front of the public so that it doesn&#8217;t die.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 Because that&#8217;s such a big problem.<\/p>\n<p>The salt is sold by The Ingredients Corporation of America, who spent approximately twelve seconds coming up with their business name.\u00c2\u00a0 The second line on their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.memphi.net\/index.html\">home page<\/a> says &#8220;All our ingredients are Kosher Certified and FDA approved,&#8221; so anyone looking to avoid that nasty Jew salt is going to choke on the irony.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder, if you put kosher salt in holy water, does it explode?<\/p>\n<div class=\"zemanta-pixie\"><img class=\"zemanta-pixie-img\" src=\"http:\/\/img.zemanta.com\/pixy.gif?x-id=9b7e05c3-addb-48f4-b067-4f7706bfed3e\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m finding so many stupid things believers do I was thinking of starting a separate blog \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Things Atheists Didn&#8217;t Do \u00e2\u20ac\u201c to list them.\u00c2\u00a0 But the last thing I need is another blog, so I&#8217;ve just made it a category on this one.
